Andrew Camp 

Andrew Camp is Merganser Director of Courses and has overall responsibility for managing Merganser’s course provision. He is an experienced course leader of courses for teachers and other education professionals.

Andrew taught in secondary schools in London and Bath for twenty-nine years, culminating in a post as Assistant Headteacher in a comprehensive school. During this period he developed his interest in international education, and supported the development of international curriculum links, most notable with teachers in Romania, Greece, India, South Africa and Vietnam.

After working in schools, Andrew moved to more specific responsibilities in teacher education, where he supported student teachers in higher education. He has been a Senior Examiner for GCSE Geography, also acting as a coursework moderator.

More recently he has worked as an assessor for the EU Erasmus+ programme, and for the UK Turing Scheme. His work planning and delivering courses has developed over several years.

He has been responsible for designing courses, liaising with incoming teachers and ensuring that Merganser courses have received very highly positive evaluations from participants.

Andrew uses his spare time listening to and trying to play rock music on keyboards, travel and cultural interests along with keeping his two granddaughters happy and active.
