Louise Bonadie is Senior Education Adviser for Merganser. Louise has particular expertise in primary education and foreign language development. After graduating, Louise worked full time in primary schools for some years. This included leading projects concerned with international curriculum linking. She then moved to a series of local authority posts concerned full-time with international education. In these she managed various programmes for schools and supporting them in establishing international links and development.
Louise had a major role in managing the UK Department for Education Teachers International Development Programme (TIPD) which involved sending several hundred teachers in groups for short in-service training visits world-wide. Louise identified the international partners, and briefed the outgoing group leaders. She has also delivered a number of development courses in the UK, for teachers from other countries.
In addition to her international work, she continues to maintain her primary level experience through working part-time in primary schools in the special needs area. In her precious spare moments Louise enjoys spending time in her large garden growing flowers and walking in the Somerset countryside where she lives with family in a converted railway station.
