Merganser Consulting has a record of success over several years in bringing teachers, students and children together on an international basis. Our main aim is promoting international understanding by the interchange of ideas and good practice. We do this by managing projects and interaction between education managers, teachers and students in as many ways as possible.
Merganser Consulting was set up in 2007. We have been involved in a wide range of initiatives to contribute to our main aim. These have included participation in large education development projects, funded by development banks and government funding agencies; support for initiatives for schools and teachers in the EU Erasmus and UK Turing programmes; management of international teacher development projects and maintenance of a wide international professional network.
We believe that first hand contact and interaction, at all levels – including between children – is invaluable in developing international understanding.
Since Merganser was established, we have worked in over 40 countries, world-wide. This has only been possible with the encouragement, support and involvement of colleagues in each of these countries. We are pleased to maintain and develop this contact wherever we can. We have evidence to show that this work can change lives for the better.
